Helpful Acronym
This week, I wanted to share the acronym I came up with, to help remember key points to dog etiquette.
Stop saying things like “my dog loves everyone” and “my dog is friendly”. The reality of it is, they may not be as friendly as you think because it only takes one situation or stranger to trigger them.
Dogs have instincts that allow them to sense things that we can not. Most importantly you must ask for permission, once permission is granted be sure to remember to respect the space!
Lastly, think before you act! Would you like it if some stranger was in your face and putting their hands on you, without permission? NO! Most pups are not fans either.
